Trócaire Kenya

Trócaire commissioned a study on citizen participation in county development planning across five Kenyan counties. The content was dense, research-heavy and legally complex — the kind of material that often gets reduced to walls of text and institutional blue.

My role was to design a publication that made the research accessible without dumbing it down, using strong documentary photography, clear information hierarchy, illustration to break up data sections, and a layout that let the findings breathe. The visual register had to feel credible enough for government and donor audiences while still being readable by civil society and community stakeholders.

What I'm proud of is that the document holds both registers at once. It doesn't look like a pamphlet, and it doesn't look like something only a lawyer would read.
